The 598 Desert boot was originally designed for NATO troops on desert missions, but quickly became popular on the streets, and we understand why. The 598 has a waterproof nubuck leather upper and a waterproof textile upper, while the high quality rubber sole is directly moulded onto the upper. The insole of the shoe is anatomical, antibacterial and washable. The Desert boots are manufactured in Europe to the NATO AQAP 2110 standard in the same factory that produces one of the legendary military boots, the M77.
